Carly Eldredge got busy on the base paths on Saturday, knocking four hits in Holy Family’s 18-3 victory over Valor Christian. Eldredge singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and hit a grand slam in the fifth.
Holy Family fired up the offense in the first inning. The Tigers scored two runs when Abby Edwards singled.
They tallied more six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower was led by was led by Edwards, Celeste Garcia, and Eldredge, all driving in runs in the inning.
Cassidy Chvatal was credited with the victory for Holy Family. She surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out seven. Kaylee McDonald threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Ashley Silvaggi took the loss for Valor Christian. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out five and walking one.
Holy Family hit three home runs on the day. Eldredge had a long ball in the fifth inning. Chvatal had home runsr in the second and third innings.
Holy Family Tigers totaled 18 hits. Eldredge, Tyler Whitlock, Edwards, Annika Manzanares, and Chvatal each had multiple hits for Holy Family. Whitlock and Eldredge each managed four hits to lead the Tigers.
