In the championship game of the D’Evelyn/Golden Preview Classic, the No. 4 Tigers got off to a slow start against the top-ranked Rangers and never could overcome it.
They were down 18-5 after eight minutes and despite clawing back to make it respectable at the half, they didn’t have enough in the tank to overcome the defending state runners-up, and fell 60-43.
Adam Jolly lead the Tigers with 11 points and Kyle Helbig finished with 10. The Rangers defense was stingy against Tanner Baird, and limited him to just nine points.
Holy Family will be back in action on Tuesday at Evergreen.
