Each day for the month of May, we will highlight our spring sports seniors.Starting with girls golf, we will move forward with girls tennis, girls lacrosse, boys lacrosse, track and field, girls soccer and finish up with baseball.
Today we move on to girls soccer
Kaitlin Rentmeester will continue her education up the road at Colorado State University. Thank you for a wonderful four years at Holy Family Kaitlin on the field and in the classroom. Good luck in Fort Collins.
Here is the full quote from Coach Michelle Griego: “What a defensive beast Kaitlin is. Her ability to track down our opponents and seamlessly taking the right angles to deny our opponents offense any chances. She is quick and man can she go in on a tackle. She would definitely punish you. She is a vocal leader on our back line and always striving to be better. I have had the privilege to coach Kaitlin these past 3 year’s and she has been nothing short of amazing. She is a great person and you know you can always count on her no matter what. Kaitlin will be attending CSU this fall and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for her.”
Here is the full quote from Coach Nick Harris: “Kaitlin’s primary sport is soccer, but she decided to come out for track this spring, as well. Despite the brevity of her track career, it was apparent that she was a natural. The times she put up throughout winter track and at our time trials indicated she would have contributed significantly to our sprints and relays. Her time trial in the 200m made her the 4th fastest girl at that distance, and she had never run a 200m before! We’ll miss not getting a chance to see her in action. Good luck next year Kaitlin!”
